Free Me legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Overview
Free Me is building an early access marketplace for people with unique skills and the brands and businesses ready to hire them. This policy explains what information we collect through the waitlist and survey at joinfreeme.com and how we use it.
The current site is an early access waitlist and survey. Payments, contracts, in-app messaging, identity verification, and full marketplace accounts are not live yet. We will update this policy before those features launch.
Information We Collect
When you join early access or answer the survey, we may collect:
- Name, email address, and role, such as someone with a skill, brand, or business.
- City, category of work, social handle, portfolio link, website, or sample work link if you provide them.
- Your signup intent, page source, referral page, campaign tags, and signup timestamp.
- Survey responses about what you want from Free Me, including desired features, matching preferences, trust needs, payment tools, and suggestions.
- Basic technical information needed to run the site, prevent spam, and understand how people find Free Me.
The site may also keep a temporary copy of your signup or survey response in your own browser storage so the form can recover gracefully if a connection fails.
How We Use Information
We use waitlist and survey information to:
- Manage early access and contact people about Free Me updates.
- Understand demand by city, role, category, skill-side interest, and hiring-side interest.
- Improve the product, feature roadmap, positioning, marketing, and launch plan.
- Protect the site, reduce spam, and keep the waitlist useful.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers that help us run the site and store waitlist or survey data, including hosting and database providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect Free Me, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
Data Storage and Security
Waitlist and survey data are stored in Supabase. The website is hosted on Netlify. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for the current early access stage, including database access controls designed to allow public form submissions while blocking public reads.
No online service can guarantee perfect security. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information through the waitlist or survey forms.
Your Choices
You can ask us to update or delete your waitlist or survey information. You can also opt out of marketing-style updates. Until a dedicated privacy inbox is live, contact us through Instagram at @joinfreeme.
Children
Free Me is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Visitors
If you access Free Me from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy as Free Me grows. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
